On this day in 2011, I was in Macchu Picchu as a result of being a guest of a convention in Peru (after managing to find an alternate route for my visit when the train from Cusco to Macchu Picchu had to stop midway because of rocks on the tracks).
In 2015, I was in Pau, a small city in southwestern France, set along the Pyrenees mountains, on a signing tour of Two Brothers (Deux Frères over there).
In 2020, as the worldwide Covid lockdown begun, I started a series of weekly strips about my pandemic experience. It talked about how my mind travels to many places when I’m alone in silence, and how I would imagine all the different places I’ve been in the World when I was facing the uncertainty of staying at home away from everything and everyone, hoping the wonders of the outside World could once again be an experience and not just a memory.
In 2023, I was in Richmond, in a Galaxy Con convention, sketching to fans and visiting Edgar Allan Poe’s museum. I would leave for Chicago a fews days later to stay with Jill Thompson and catch up with her, Terry Moore, Jeff Smith, Skottie Young and many others during C2E2. While I was in Chicago, I saw for the first time all cell phones vibrating together with tornado alerts one night (cows went flying, but luckily not near me).
It’s 2024, I’m mainly working on a new book. When time allows, I work on another book, and other smaller projects. I’m coloring a cover today.
The battery of my car died, but I just got a new one. Let’s keep traveling.
Be safe. Be kind. Be curious.

And just after that in May 2011, I met you and Gabriel at LimaComics. That encounter meant a lot, now I'm more curious and make comics everyday
Gracias por tanto.☺️🙏🏽
