Adapt or die

Facebook reminded me that, five years ago, during one of my MoonDay drawing lives streamed either on YouTube, Twitch or on Instagram during the pandemic, I did this drawing to talk about books and comics which were adapted into movies or TV, and about the comic book adaptations I’ve done.

I discovered many books because I saw the adaptations and went after the original (at the time, I was reading Dune in preparation for the movie).

This week, as Imogen Poots and John Reynolds were announced as the initial cast members of the Sex Criminal adaptation, I thought about the times Casanova was close to being adapted as well, and that reminded me that today is indeed the FOC for the CASANOVA COMPENDIUM BOOK 1 TP. The Lunar code is 042IM0468.

I was talking to another comic book artist this weekend about Heroes Con, the convention in Charlotte, which we both really love, and I said that while he had gone to that show many times, I had only been there once, and it was exactly 10 years ago to celebrate the 10th anniversary of CASANOVA. This new book is a celebration of 20 years, hoping that in the next 10 years we’ll be able to tell more sexy spy stories.
